About NessGate

AI systems increasingly need trustworthy, machine-readable information about companies — and companies need a way to say, authoritatively, "this file, on our own website, is our official data."

NessGate answers exactly one question:

Where has this verified domain chosen to publish
its official machine-readable JSON?

It works like DNS. DNS maps a domain to an IP address; NessGate maps a domain to its official AI-data URL:

DNS       example.com → 93.184.216.34
NessGate  example.com → https://example.com/data/ai-info.json

Principles

Your data stays yours. NessGate never stores, analyzes, modifies, ranks, or standardizes the contents of any company's JSON. The file lives on the company's own website, under its own name. NessGate holds only the pointer. During verification, NessGate only confirms that the URL returns valid JSON — and, when the JSON-field method is used, checks the temporary ownership code — then discards what it fetched.

Bring your own schema. There is no required format, no mandatory fields, no validation beyond "it must be valid JSON." Modern AI models read any reasonable structure, so forcing one would add friction without adding value. If you want a starting point, the guide offers optional templates — but they are suggestions, never requirements. NessGate is just the router.

Nothing to trust us with. NessGate never asks for passwords, API keys, or server access, and never asks you to install or run anything. Verification is a read-only public lookup — see exactly what happens.

Proof, not accounts. There are no user accounts, passwords, or emails. Every registration, update, and removal is authorized the same way: by proving control of the domain — the identity that actually matters.

Open reads. Resolving a domain is free and public for everyone — AI agents, crawlers, scripts, and humans — through a simple open API with no keys and no sign-up.

Deliberately minimal. A resolver should be boring, fast, and predictable. NessGate avoids features that would make it a middleman rather than a gate.
